Meet Lennon Micciulla
My name is Lennon Micciulla (she/her) (pronounced mi-choo-la). I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate in the state of Washington and hold an MA in Couples and Family Therapy from Seattle University.
My love for therapy came from my own therapy experience. Each therapist I have worked with has left a lasting impact on how I view myself, my relationships, and the world I live in.
As a queer therapist, I enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families who are part of the LGBTQIA+ community, especially around repairing relationships, trauma processing, attachment wounds, and family-of-origin work.
Before becoming a therapist, I worked in the tech industry as a writer. While I enjoyed the work, I often found I was more interested in forming relationships rather than technical communications, and have since found my true passion as a therapist.
When I'm not working, I enjoy the simple pleasures life offers—gardening, exploring nature, reading memoirs, traveling, pottery, and spending time with loved ones and my dogs.
Therapeutic Approach
I approach therapy from a systemic lens—people are deeply influenced by the systems and relationships they are part of, such as families, communities, and cultural environments. As my client, I invite you into a therapeutic relationship. Together we will create trust, collaborate on goals, experience the tenderness of healing, and lean into laughter in the silly moments.
While my practice is rooted in attachment theory, I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy, Experiential therapy, and Humanistic therapy with all individuals, couples, and families, and those receiving sex therapy. I believe you have the strength to discover yourself, create secure relationships, change unhelpful patterns and ways of being, and heal from trauma.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirming, trauma-informed, sex-positive, fat-positive, and size-neutral. I approach my work with Black, Indigenous, and People of Color with humility, collaboration, and a commitment to personal accountability. I support all relationship dynamics, marriages, and structures, especially LGBTQIA+, kink, BDSM, and polyamorous/ENM.
